PAST ISSUES
Issue No. 7 QUESTIONS
For the Questions issue we are turning our focus from the outside world and bringing it inward. Each day for 100 days we will step out into the world and meet with one person. We will ask each person we meet the same 12 questions. At the end of 100 days we hope to capture our collective voice within this interwoven web of dialog.Day 26: David Buergo
What do you do for a living?
I’m a car technician for Mercedes. I work on cars for a living.
What do you do to feel alive?
I do something intense – spontaneous.
A lesson you learned from your mother:
Be kind to others.
A lesson you learned from your father:
Be tough. “You gotta be tough to be strong.”
What’s the most beautiful thing you saw today?
I would have to say the morning – the way the sun was rising – the clouds – the temperature – the weather. I love this weather right now. I spent the whole day outside yesterday. I went to the movies and had to be back outside. I just couldn’t get myself to stay inside.
What’s one thing you wouldn’t want anyone to take away from you?
My self worth.
What’s a thought you would like to never have again?
Losing people you care about.
If you could become an inanimate object what would it be?
An airplane
When do you feel most loved?
Around family and friends.
If your life were to end tomorrow what would be left undone?
I feel like not having left a piece of my family legacy behind – not having had a family already – leaving something to continue after you’re gone.
What global issue would you take on if you didn’t have to worry about how?
Famine and peace. Too many people are going to bed hungry at night. It shouldn’t be like that.
What’s the scariest thing that ever happened to you?
Being robbed….I had to think about that one for moment. Some of the questions you asked me are things I ask myself every once in a while. Puts me back into perspective.
